On March 14, the Heydar Aliyev Center hosted the opening of a solo exhibition titled “Secret of the Rose” by Belarusian sculptor Andrey Ostashov. This exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to closely explore the artist’s work.
Andrey Ostashov is a professional sculptor and artist from Belarus. Working with stone and bronze, he creates fantastic pieces that merge the modern era with motifs of Eastern mythology. His works are displayed in the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Malaga Museum of Art in Spain, and private collections in the UK, Germany, the US, and other countries.
The artist’s creativity unites mythological themes from different cultures, expressing human emotions, experiences, and relationships. His works incorporate influences from the traditional art of the Far East, tropical Africa, and Oceania, as well as European beliefs and ancient myths. His distinct grotesque style captures the viewer’s attention and helps uncover the deeper meanings of his pieces.
Andrey Ostashov graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and has been participating in national and international exhibitions since 1995. He collaborates with galleries in Russia, Belarus, Spain, France, and the Netherlands and has galleries in Monte Carlo, Vienna, Taipei, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Minsk, and Astana.
It is worth mentioning that the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center was attended by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, and Arzu Aliyeva. The Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Anar Alakbarov, was also present at the event.
The exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Andrey Ostashov’s artistic world through his works.
